Morning tulip

Description

The Morning tilip vase is a part of the Wavy collection.

This series stems from my fascination with organic forms that flow and ripple: seaweed drifting in currents, the delicate frills of chanterelle mushrooms, the soft curves of flower petals. I find these forms very touching, vulnerable and at the same time elegant.

I use a combined technique; the base is made on a wheel, and the petals are added by hand. It is a slow, intuitive process. I do not know in advance what kind of curve each petal will have. I only know the image and the feeling that I want to convey to the viewer.

 I create moments. A pause. A reminder. A reconnection to the world we are still a part of, if only we choose to return.
